Cancer Flushmount or Sconce

The Cancer fixture is a sculptural light inspired by the Cancer astrological constellation, one of the faintest in the zodiac, translated into brass discs and glowing bulbs. Four discs in different sizes branch out in a loose Y shape. A long arm and a short arm reach upward, and a slim tail drops below to a small ball-tipped star. The result is crisp, graphic, and just a little offbeat.

Designed as both a wall sconce and a flush mount ceiling light, Cancer works as a statement piece. On the wall it reads like illuminated art, a natural fit for hallways, bedrooms, and living rooms. On the ceiling it spreads a soft, ambient glow that looks like a constellation at night.

Cancer is available in raw brass, chrome, or black, and in a wide range of color combinations. Mix finishes for contrast, or customize it in any of our 30+ powder coat colors for something subtle, tonal, or boldly graphic.

Finish Options

Each sconce is made to order in our New Orleans studio with your choice of fixture finish: brass, chrome or black. 

The raw brass option will develop a warm patina over time, or you can polish it occasionally to maintain its bright brassy glow. Powder-coated shades are durable, vibrant, and perfect for adding a pop of color, while chrome adds sleek modern shine.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the Zodiac-1 fixture can be installed on ceiling or on the wall. It’s UL Listed for dry locations (damp-rated sockets available by request) and built with quality components to last for years. Contact us if you need damp rating.
