Returns & Exchanges with Sazerac Stitches
We want you to love your lighting. If something is not the right fit for your space, eligible items may be returned for a refund or store credit, subject to the guidelines below.
This page applies to preference-based returns only, not damages or carrier issues.
Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return:
- The request must be submitted within 60 days of delivery.
- Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original, resaleable condition.
- All components, hardware, and parts must be included.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Orders of $400 or more are subject to a $50 or 10% restocking fee (whichever is greater).
If an item has been installed, altered, or used, it is not eligible for a preference-based return.
How To Request A Return

Email us with your order number and the item(s) you would like to return.

We will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions.

Ship the item back using secure packaging that protects it in transit.
Return authorization is required before sending items back. Unauthorized returns may be refused or significantly delayed.

Packaging Requirements
All returns must be packaged securely.
We cannot process full refunds for items that arrive damaged due to inadequate packing, missing materials, or insufficient protection.
Suggested guidelines:
- Use the original packaging when possible.
- Wrap fixtures and shades separately to prevent metal-to-metal or metal-to-ceramic contact.
- Fill all empty space in the box so items cannot shift in transit.
If a return arrives damaged because of poor packing, any refund or credit will be adjusted or denied based on the extent of the damage.
Restocking Fees
For orders totaling $400 or more, a restocking fee applies to preference-based returns:

$50 or 10% of the item(s) returned, whichever amount is greater.
This fee helps cover inspection, repackaging, and inventory handling for made-to-order and small batch production.
Refunds & Processing Time
Once your return is received and inspected:
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Review and processing may take up to two weeks after delivery to our studio.
- You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed.
If the item is not in original, resaleable condition, we may issue a partial refund or store credit instead, or decline the return, depending on the findings.
Exchanges
If you would like a different color or fixture instead of a refund, we are happy to review exchange requests.
Exchange terms:
- The item must meet the same eligibility requirements listed above.
- Customers are responsible for the shipping cost to send the original item back to us.
- Outbound shipping for the new item may be:
- Charged at our standard shipping rate, or
- Waived or adjusted as a courtesy, at our discretion.
For exchanges on orders totaling $400 or more, our standard restocking fee may apply. In some cases, we may reduce or waive this when you are exchanging for another Sazerac Stitches fixture; this is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Exchanges require prior approval. Unauthorized returns or exchanges may be refused or delayed.
