Octavia Three Light Sconce

The three-light Octavia is a romantic brass bath bar that would rather be a bouquet. Three brass flower cups hang in a row from a slim horizontal rod. Each petal is fluted down its length and flipped up at the tip, like something picked from a garden and hung on the wall. Each light drops from a round brass knuckle with a slotted screw head and a small turned finial on top. The fixture moves from tidy and architectural up top to soft and loose at the bottom. When it’s on, the brass glows along every ridge and the fluting throws a little shadow play onto the wall.

The brass is left unlacquered, so it darkens and develops a patina the longer it lives with you. It has the presence of an antique without being precious about it.

Three lights across make it natural bathroom vanity lighting, centered over a mirror where a plain bar would be a missed opportunity. It’s a brass bathroom sconce for an old house with a clawfoot tub, a grandmillennial powder room with floral wallpaper, or a newer bathroom that needs some age. It also works over a kitchen window or across a long piece of art.

Each fixture is made by hand to order in unlacquered brass. It will patina naturally over time, and small variations in finish make every piece its own.

Finish Options

Each sconce is made to order in our New Orleans studio with your choice of brass or powdercoated black finish.  The raw brass option will develop a warm patina over time, or you can polish it occasionally to maintain its bright brassy glow. Powder-coated shades are durable, vibrant, and perfect for adding a pop of color, while chrome adds sleek modern shine.
