Single Oak

$135.00

The Oak is a single-light sconce built around a hand-blown glass shade shaped like an acorn, which is where it gets its name. A short arm comes off a round wall plate and drops straight down, holding the glass in a bell-shaped fitter with small thumbscrews. It’s the same simple, sturdy hardware you’d find on an old schoolhouse light.  Available with clear or opal white glass, you can have bright, crisp light or a softened, flattering glow. Available in three finishes, this sconce can read warm and traditional in brass, or clean and classic in chrome. The satin Black finish takes it a little more industrial and rugged.

It’s a quiet, simple design, and that’s what makes it so useful. The Oak works in a traditional bathroom, an old house, over a kitchen sink, in a laundry room, or down a hallway, and it gets along with whatever else is happening in the room. If you need different measurements, we can adjust them.

Finish Options

Each sconce is made to order in our New Orleans studio with your choice of:

  1. Glass color: Clear or Opal White
  2. Fixture finish: Raw Unlacquered brass, Chrome, or Black (satin finish)

Each fixture is made by hand to order with hand-blown glass. Raw brass is unlacquered and will patina over time, and small variations in finish and glass make each piece its own.
